FIFA Secretary General pledges support for youth football in Ethiopia

FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura concluded two days of meetings with stakeholders from government and sport in Ethiopia, in the company of a delegation from the Horn of Africa. In particular, the importance of playing sport was highlighted.

More than half a million people sign up to volunteer at FIFA events

More than half a million people have now signed up on FIFA’s global volunteer platform. Volunteer numbers have soared from 100,000 since October 2021, with the fast-approaching FIFA World Cup™ unsurprisingly proving the biggest draw.
